BATHURST QUARTER SESSIONS.
———✦———
MONDAY, MARCH 6, 1876.
(Before Mr District Judge Josephson.)
His Honour took his seat shortly before 10 o’clock.
The barristers present were Mr RM Isaacs, Mr Buchanan, and Mr CG Heydon. The attorneys in attendance were Mr JN McIntosh, Mr Morgan, Mr West, Mr L Heydon, Mr Hellyer (of Sydney), and Mr JO Dodd (of Carcoar).
Mr Isaacs was present as Acting Clerk of the Peace.
Shortly after the opening, Mr RM Isaacs—Mr Teece, Crown Prosecutor for the Western District, being absent through illness—requested a few words with his Honor privately; and upon returning in a few minutes, his Honor said that from circumstances which had come to his knowledge, he found it necessary to adjourn the Court for an hour.
When he again took his seat, his Honor said he had sent a telegram to Sydney in reference to the Crown Prosecutorship, but as no answer had yet been received, he would adjourn the Court till half-past 1, which was accordingly done.
When the Court re-assembled about 3 o’clock, his Honor made a further adjournment till 9 o’clock on Tuesday morning.
