The Sydney Herald, Sun 25 May 1834 

COLONIAL SECRETARY’S OFFICE, SYDNEY,
19TH MAY, 1834.

His Excellency the Governor has been
    pleased to approve of the following Alterations in the Police of the Colony; namely,

    LIVERPOOL.—Joseph Hinton, free, to be Constable, from the 1st instant, in the room of John Rodgers, dismissed on the 24th of March for Misconduct.

    LIVERPOOL.—William Shenkwin, free, to be constable from the 4th instant, in the room of Joseph Hinton, dismissed, for highly improper conduct.
