Amoo, a seaman of the ss Sutlej, was charged with committing an offence of a gross character on one Saboo Dene, a seaman, of the same vessel. The accused was committed to take his trial at the next Court of Quarter Sessions.

The Metropolitan Quarter Sessions opened at Darlinghurst yesterday, before District Court Judge Forbes. Mr Healey was Crown Prosecutor and Mr Beaver deputy-clerk of the peace.

AN UNNATURAL OFFENCE.
A Sidi boy named Amoo, who had joined the P and O ss Sutlej at Bombay, was accused of committing an unnatural offence upon a fellow-seaman Saboo Dene in Port Jackson on January 17 last. Prisoner was found not guilty, and his Honor, remarking that he quite agreed with the verdict, ordered his discharge.

CHARGE OF INDECENT ASSAULT.
Amoo, African black, pleaded not guilty to the above charge, and the jury acquitted him.
