CHANGE OF PLEA.
Charles Cunningham, a middle-aged man, withdrew his plea of not guilty to a charge of criminal assault [indecent assault on Catherine Dobson Watson ] at Lewisham on July 14, and pleaded guilty. Prisoner was remanded for sentence till Thursday.

THREE TIMES PLEADED.
Charles Cunningham, a young man, arraigned on a charge of committing a serious assault upon a little girl at Lewisham on July 14, was called, and a jury put in the box. On August 4 accused had pleaded that he was guilty, but on the 6th he withdrew that plea and substituted one of not guilty, with the Judge’s permission. On being again arraigned accused was represented by Mr HA Moss, who advised him to plead guilty. The fresh plea was accepted, and prisoner was remanded for sentence.

SENTENCE FOR ASSAULT.
Charles Cunningham, a young man, who had pleaded guilty to a charge of committing an assault upon a girl aged 12 years and 11 months, was sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for nine months. Mr HA Moss appeared for the prisoner.

Charles Cunningham, who described himself as a broom and brush dealer, was found guilty on a charge of indecent exposure, and was sentenced to 18 months’ hard labor in Bathurst Gaol.
